How I help entrepreneurs (and intrapreneurs)
Because the perils of Concept Burn are real, I offer a conveniently limited range of ways you can use my brain to help you focus on your unique business concept. These services are all focused on execution, execution and execution with no hundred page reports to sit on shelves, gathering dust.
- Pre-startup workshops
- Business strategy reviews
- Pricing and revenue maximisation
- Part time executive roles
- Advisory board member
- Funding introductions
How I help established organisations
Most established businesses (and other organisations) have room to improve, if only you had a compelling event to focus that improvement into action. The opportunities and challenges of succession and growth mean that you simply need to commit to such a goal and “go overweight” in your business to achieve change. These services are all focused on getting change and some degree of innovation implemented.
- Future Path growth strategy
- Succession planning
- Implementing Knowledge Management and Learning and Development initiatives
- Going 2.0 – Bringing Enterprise 2.0, Government 2.0 and Web 2.0 practices into your organisation
- Identifying and implementing innovation opportunities
- Revenue exploration and maximisation
- Optimising service levels and processes for internal and external customers
- Operational and business healthcheck.
Business Renovations
In a limited number of situations I will help “renovate” a business. This involves working through a prioritised (but sometimes parallel) program to get the business into shape for a succession event, or to raise further capital. It sometimes involves a full-time commitment from me working in your business, or I may work more like an “architect”, identifying a future state and the steps you will need to follow to get there, I may also buy some or all of the equity of the business in order to share both the risks and rewards of the renovation.
* (oh, and…)
Although I do have a business focus, all of these services can help not for profits, government and non-government organisations, sporting clubs and educational institutions.
